Portfolios: Weddings | Editorial | Portraits | Commercial

My name is Ben DeFlorio and I am a Vermont based photographer. First and foremost, I am a people photographer. My work includes weddings, portraits, news assignments, and commercial and institutional jobs. I've also been known to take on other jobs varying from real estate images, product and food images, stock imagery, and small video projects. When I’m shooting just for myself I enjoy street photography.

I am a quiet, but confident person and my photographic approach reflects this. At events like weddings I aim to be right there when needed for the key moments and quietly capturing candid moments which represent the spirit of the day the rest of the time. With portraits I like to take time to get to know the subject, I like to go to a location that is important to them, and I like to be patient and collaborate with the subject to get images that show their personality. I enjoy the challenge of news assignments, the need to anticipate and position myself, the need to tell the story in a picture or two, and the need to work under a tight deadline. I love to see the finish product too, so I work hard to turn around images in a timely manner. I also recognize that each client has different needs and I strive to make adjustments to meet those needs.

Clients include: The Herald of Randolph, The Valley News, Seven Days, Upper Valley Life Magazine, Upper Valley Home Improvement Guide, Kid Stuff Magazine, Dartmouth College, Vermont Law School, Vermont Technical College, Brunswick School, Oliverian School, Simon Pearce, Vielet, Harp and Company, Etsy, Vermont Agency of Agriculture, Rural Vermont, Avitide, Bedrock Ventures, vtSBDC, Inner Traditions, Marsicovetere Law Group, Design Source + Home, Ennis Construction, Simpson Companies, Red Hed Manufacturing, New Concept Tools, Massage Professionals of Randolph, Great Eastern Radio, Raq-On Dance Studio, Moving Light Dance Company, Randolph Elementary School, Lake Champagne Campground, Turkey Hill Farm, and the Vermont Prisoner’s Rights Office. And maybe most importantly because of the personal nature of the final product I have provided photographic services for many happy families, couples, and individuals.

I live in central Vermont where I enjoy the changing seasons (and sometimes can’t wait for the change in seasons), I like friendly competition (I'll play ping-pong or wiffle ball with you all day), traveling, and spending time with my wife and dynamo daughter.

Send me an email or give me a call (802-565-8040) to inquire about my services and current rates and to see how I can help you with your imaging needs. I am available for jobs here in Vermont, New England, and beyond.
